Hospitality Staff Member

We are searching for someone who is an efficient team-player with a pleasant personality to join our hotel team to work alongside us providing quality customer service to our Extended Stay Guests. As a member of our Hospitality Staff, you serve our Guests via a broad range of duties and have direct responsibility for performing front desk, back office, property, and room preparation. Our ideal Staff Member has a can-do, whatever-it-takes attitude where no task is too small or too large to do it right the first time.

Serving the Front Desk, you will be the point of contact to represent the hotel in front of guests over the phone and during check-in. You must provide excellent customer service for our guests. You provide our guests with all the necessary information they require and ensure they have a comfortable stay. You should possess amazing communication skills and love interacting with people. You should also have a keen eye on details, and you should be able to respond quickly.

Serving the Back Office, you may process direct or online travel agent reservations to ensure Guests are placed properly in available rooms and resolve any reservation issues in advance of Guest arrivals. Your strong computer skills will come in handy while processing requests on our booking engine or related OTA systems. You will also process Guest requests via email, text, and phone to ensure our Guests have everything they need upon their arrival and during their stay with us.

Property and Room Preparation. We are all cross trained and do everything necessary to ensure our property and Guest rooms are spotless and ready to serve. This includes general housekeeping, cleaning, and picking up around the grounds. Your task will be to maintain the standards of our hotel through an exceptional level of housekeeping service. You will be responsible for maintaining a neat and tidy environment in the guest rooms from ensuring that all the bed linens and room surfaces cleaned are fresh, that the toiletries are present and our walkways, parking lot and general grounds are clean and ready for business each day.

We operate seven (7) days a week from approximately 8 am to 12 pm daily. We assign 10 hour per day shifts on a four (4) day work week. We employ both part-time and full-time employees. Our full-time employees (average 30+ hours per week) are eligible for benefits after a probationary period. We provide on-the-job training.

Requirements

  • Prior Hospitality experience is preferred but not essential
  • Candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience of working in Customer Service roles
  • Proficient in the English language. Knowledge of other languages is a plus
  • Pleasant personality and amazing organizational skills.
  • Excellent Computer Skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
